چکیده

Objective: To investigate clinical effect of two-ports thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy and systemic lymphadenectomy in curing bronchogenic carcinoma well. Background: Single-port and multiple-ports thoracoscopic surgery treating lung cancer were reported more. Each of them has their own advantages and disadvantages, and now two-ports thoracoscopic surgery treating lung cancer is more widely used. Methods: A quantity of 124 patients with bronchogenic carcinoma involved in our hospital from August 2014 to June 2016 were randomly divided into two groups, two-ports VATS group and thoracotomy group (respectively 62 cases) on the basis of the method of random number table. The operative time, blood loss in operation, thoracic drainage, postoperative hospital stay and intraoperative lymph nodes dissection and operation complications were contrasted between both of two-ports VATS group and

Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery for the central bronchogenic carcinoma with invasion of the main bronchus and pulmonary artery: A case report

Surgical treatment for central bronchogenic carcinoma with invasion of the main bronchus and pulmonary artery often include bronchial anastomosis and pulmonary angioplasty. As a technique, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) lobectomy has proven to reduce the rate of occurrence of complications, and thereby obtain improved survival rates. In the present case study, its use in treating c...

Video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy: the Edinburgh posterior approach.

Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is now well established as an alternative to open thoracotomy for major pulmonary resections of bronchogenic carcinoma and benign disease (1,2). Compared to open surgery, the minimally invasive approach has a number of benefits in the immediate post-operative period that include reduced pain, better pulmonary function, shorter hospital stay, improved ...

The Era of VATS Lobectomy

Primary lung cancer remains the most lethal of all malignancies. The cornerstone of therapy for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is surgical resection by lobectomy with complete systematically lymphadenectomy (Hartwig & D’Amico, 2010). One of the initial reports on video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy was published 1994 by Robert McKenna (McKenna, 1994). Since then thoracoscopic...

Limited resection and two-staged lobectomy for non-small cell lung cancer with ground-glass opacity

BACKGROUND Lung tumors showing ground-glass opacities on high-resolution computed tomography indicate the presence of inflammation, atypical adenomatous hyperplasia, or localized bronchioloalveolar carcinoma. We adopted a two-staged video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy strategy involving completion lobectomy for localized bronchioloalveolar carcinoma with an invasive component according to po...

Mediastinal lymph node dissection in early-stage non-small cell lung cancer: totally thoracoscopic vs thoracotomy.

OBJECTIVES Although major pulmonary resections for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are more and more frequently performed through thoracoscopy, the adequacy of lymphadenectomy achieved via this approach is still questioned. The aim of this study was to evaluate the results of lymph node dissection (LND) during totally thoracoscopic (TT) major pulmonary resections. METHODS Clini...
